Bagpipes were changed to b flat to play with brass bands.

I received my first set of Morrison SSP’s from you the other day. I’ve never played the Pipes before. I’m in my fourth day of working with them. I can keep a fairly good constant tone when the drones are shut off. That’s not the story when I turn them on. It seems that I may have to pump the bellows too much. Any suggestions? Thanks! 🎻🙂😎

b flat..the haunting pitch, slow air, night time or fog in a graveyard or forest..oh yeah

Can anyone vouch for the clips on the bottom of the shoulder straps? They appear to be very thin and cheap in photos, but I've never seen or handled in person. Thanks!

I want to put an Uilleann pipe practice chanter reed inside one of those to make it sound like a Pibau Cyrn.

Henderson's Bagpipes, Drums & Uniforms It's an Octave below the Great Highland Bagpipe & is at 440 HZ so it's quite a mellow sounding Bagpipe. I prefer this guy over the Great Highland Bagpipe because it's better for my hearing.

Professional Bagpiper in Las Vegas and I've been playing GHB's in Bb for 15 years, long before it was popular to do so. This way I can play with guitar, trumpet, trombone, violin and many other orchestra instruments. Also it allows me to do improve with anyone that wants to join in other than another piper that's tuned for their pipe band. Play a Carbony Celtic Winds Bb carbon fiber chanter that was specially designed for me. Also original Omega drone reeds that allow me to tune them to Bb. In my 120 year old Hendersons in cocobolo wood.

What the name of the song

Is there any difference is care and maintenance between wood and poly pipes? I'm considering ploy as my first set as I hear they stand up to temp and humidity fluctuations better but would like a video of care of poly pipes. As in plastic shouldn't need to be oiled, right?

what was the first tune called?

So far out of all of the bagpipes that I have heard, the only really one that I have noticed a difference in the drones are a set of nail bagpipes. My teacher has a set of those in his drones sounded very different from everybody else in the band. It seems to me that all the pipe chanters sound the same. So if they all sound the same, how do you know which bagpipes or to choose? They all sound the same to me. Any advice as to good comparison videos I could look at?

I bought this case for my new Atherton's a few years ago and I've been extremely pleased with it.

I have to say that butchers apron on a set of Highland pipes is disgusting and wholly inappropriate!

Played David Naiel pipes in the in early 80s imported by a fella named Mc McPherson. My pipe major Richard Longstaff owned a set of Henderson pipes he purchased from his teacher who had fought in the boer war. The pipes were top shelf! Silver and real ivory trimmed. They were heavy!! Richard liked the naiel pipes and felt the chanter was very good. Those Hendersons were later sold to Richard's best student jamie...who played world over. Nothing ever matched the sweet tone of those boer War hendersons...later I purchased a set of Dunbar poly pipes ancient model. Never could really get them going...sold them to a fella in Oregon...he loved them!

Do these sound the same as the "Bellows Smallpipes in A" you sell? I haven't been able to find a sound clip of those and these seem to be the same just with a different drone placement (and being mouth-blown).

I really like this video and it's very exciting to watch but I was wondering what was the tune that was being played at the beginning of the video?

Seems like this would be the perfect size for GHB's as well (even those with Ross canister systems, plus a few music books). Many of the old-school wooden pipe cases were smaller than this.
